Junior IT OFFICER

We are seeking a knowledgeable and solutions-oriented IT Officer to support and maintain our ERP systems, ensure optimal system configurations, and manage user rights. The ideal candidate will also assist with network infrastructure and provide secondary support for general IT troubleshooting, including Outlook configuration, printer maintenance, and basic hardware repairs.

Key Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities: ERP and Systems Management

• Administer, configure, and maintain the organization’s ERP platform, ensuring smooth performance and accessibility.
• Create, update, and manage user rights and access controls across ERP and other business-critical platforms.
• Identify opportunities for system optimization and process automation within the ERP and recommend or implement improvements.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand ERP needs and tailor configurations accordingly.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot ERP-related issues, and liaise with external vendors or support teams where necessary.
• Perform regular data backups and ensure system security protocols are upheld.

Networking and Infrastructure Support

• Maintain and monitor network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues affecting user workstations and business systems.
• Support the implementation of new hardware and software as required.

Secondary Responsibilities: IT Support & Maintenance

• Configure Microsoft Outlook for new and existing users, troubleshoot email delivery and sync issues.
• Provide general IT support to staff, including troubleshooting desktops, laptops, and other end-user devices.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining printers, including changing toner/cartridges and basic maintenance.
• Carry out minor hardware repairs and replacements, escalating complex issues when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of IT assets and technical incidents.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

• B.Sc./HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–4 years' experience in a similar IT/ERP support role.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, etc.).
• Experience in network troubleshooting and basic IT maintenance.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of ERP administration, configuration, and optimization.
• Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Outlook setup and troubleshooting.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
